Minutes of the last meeting: These had been circulated and were agreed.

Matters Arising: It was asked how the Inter-league was set up in the absence of an Inter-league Secretary. It was reported that one less team had been entered compared to last year. Individuals were now responsible for different teams. P Brandwood who was on the Committee will try and keep us up to date with developments.

Correspondence: The General Secretary had received forms for the Lancashire County Trials. It was pointed out that individuals concerned with juniors have also received copies.

Teams to divisions: Ramsbottom had requested a new team entry. The strength of the players indicated that only the Premier division was suitable. A long discussion then took place and the very large disparity of points at the top of Division 1 and a similar disparity at the bottom of the Premier was considered. Individual player averages were consulted and results from another league were taken into account to compare relative strengths of players. All were agreed to set the league up as shown. There were 57 teams leaving an open date in three divisions.

Premier: Burning Desire A, Heaton B (now A), Hilton A (now B), Hilton B (now A), Hilton Tameside, Little Lever A & B, Nomads A, Radcliffe CC, Ramsbottom A & B (new), Wharton.
Division 1: Burning Desire B, Heaton A (now B), D (now C) & E (now D), Ladybridge A, Little Lever C, Nomads B, Ramsbottom B (now C), Wingates/Hilton, Hilton C (now D) & D (now C), Tonge B (now Withins A).
Division 2: BEN A, Heaton C (now E) & F, Hilton E, Hilton G (now F), Farnworth A (new), Little Lever D, Meadow Bank, Meadow Hill A, Ramsbottom C (now D), Withins A (now B).
Division 3: BEN B, Coburg (new), Farnworth B, Ladybridge B & C, Meadow Hill B, Hilton J (now I), Hilton H (now G), Hilton I (now H), Hilton K (now J), Tonge C (now Withins C).
Division 4: Bolton Lads & Girls, BRASS, Hilton K, L & M, Heaton G & H, Irlam Steel, Little Lever E, St. Paul's Peel, Walkden Methodists.

The Year Calendar: This was OK as is. The Tournament Secretary was available when required.

Prize money for Individual Championships: It was decided to dispense with the four-pound prizes for losing semi-finalists and just have a £20 first prize and £10 for 2nd place.

Date of handbook and fee payment: This would be Friday 29th August between 7.30 and 8.30pm.

AOB: A Portar, an hon. lifetime member has died. He was treasurer during the George Yates era. We will include this in the Newsletter.
