Present: Messrs. Bertrand, Caswell, Gooddy (Chair), Hodgert, Holt, Wheeldon.
Apologies for absence: Messrs. Berry, Brandwood & Scowcroft, Mrs Scowcroft & Mrs Smart.
Minutes of the last meeting: These had been circulated and were agreed.
Matters Arising: There had been no reply re possible dispute.
Correspondence: A ladder board had been received from the ETTA. The treasurer said he would take it.
General Secretary's Report: None.
Match Secretary's Report: The number of outstanding matches were: Premier 5; Div1 - 1; Div 2 -0; Div 3 - 1; Div 4 - 1.
Treasurer's Report: Fees had been paid. £375 to Lancashire & Cheshire & £570 to Lancashire County. There was a query re a senior player who had apparently played in a junior team. It was noted that any wins would have to be converted to guest status or the extra £24 would be needed to convert it to an ordinary team. The Chairman said he would investigate. £20 had been paid to our tournament secretary to cover travel as agreed at the last meeting. This did not include days when he was an official competitor. Two advertiser fees had still to be received.
Inter-league Secretary's Report: Details received from the County Secretary were passed around. The Vets 1 team had withdrawn from the Premier. This would entail a fine of £90.
Tournament Secretary's Report: 44 players took part in the Individual Championships. It was disappointing to see only 9 entries from the Premier Division compared to 16 last season. It was also noticeable that there were no juniors in the Division 4 competition and this accounted for the drop of entries from 13 to 5. It was, however, a good tournament and in all the 5 Divisions there were new finalists.
Date and venue of next meeting: It was decided to revert back to the earlier start of 7.30pm for committee meetings. The next one would be February 6th at Ramsbottom Cricket Club at 7.30pm.
