Present: Messrs. Bertrand, Berry, Caswell, Holt, Scowcroft, Scowcroft, Walsh, Wheeldon, Mrs Smart & Mrs Scowcroft
Apologies for absence: Messrs. Berry & Bradbury
Minutes of the last meeting: These had been circulated and were agreed.
Matters Arising: None
Correspondence: ETTA correspondence of Table Tennis diaries
Inter-league Secretary's Report: Three teams had entered under the new signing scheme. We had received the Sunday fixtures & venues. They had been emailed to the Inter-league Secretary and were left at Hilton.
Tournament Secretary's Report: The dates we choose will be fine.
Teams to divisions: It was thought at first that 61 teams had entered, but a clerical error by Hilton raised this to 62. We could have an extra division, but that would mean scattering 10 open dates around the lower divisions. In the end it was decided reluctantly to have the usual number of divisions but have one containing 14 teams with league matches to be played along side the last four cup weeks. The second division was chosen because with being in the middle the rest of the divisions and most of the wishes of teams gave the best fit. The league was set up as follows:
Premier: Burning Desire A & B, Hilton A, Hilton Tameside, Ramsbottom A, B, & C, Little Lever A & B, Radcliffe CC, St Catherine's A, Wharton
Division 1: Heaton A B & C, Hilton B, Ladybridge A, Little Lever C, Nomads A, St Catherine's B & C, Ramsbottom D, Meadow Bank, Wingates Hilton.
Division 2: BEN A, Coburg, Farnworth TTC A, Grubba Fans, Heaton D, E & F, Hilton C D & E, Ladybridge B, Little Lever D, Meadow Hill A, Nomads B.
Division 3: BEN B, Farnworth SC, Heaton G, Hilton F G & H, Ladybridge C, Meadow Hill B, St Catherine's D & E, St. Paul's Peel, Walkden Meths.
Division 4: Boyzone, Brass, Bolton L&G A & B, Heaton H, Hilton I J & K, Irlam Steel, Farnworth TTC B, Markland Hill TTC, St Catherine's F.
Date and venue of player registration, fees & handbook collection: September 4th. The next proper Committee meeting was tentatively arranged for November 6th.
AOB: There would be a new format for J Barker's web site so that the Match Secretary could update it personally.
